Nautica 2005 TheLong Beach Historical Society is holding its annual Nautica event, with a boat trip along Long Beach Island from Point Lookout to Silver Point in Atlantic Beach June 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $35 per person, dinner is included. There will be a pre-sailing talk at the LBHS museum at 2:30 p.m.
House Tour The Long Beach Historical Society will hold its annual house tours June 12, traveling throughout the city to examine the interiors of seven distinctive Long Beach homes. The cost is $25 for members, and $30 for non-members.
Film screenings Throughout June, the Long Beach Historical Society is holding film screenings every Monday night at 7 p.m. Films will include "Whirl of Life," "Blood and Sand," "Pollyanna," and "The Gold Rush." There is a suggested donation of $2.
Historical lecture Long Beach Historical Society members Roberta Fiore and Liz Coffin Allerhand are teaching a four-session course entitled "American Craftsmen Era in the Planned Community: Philosophy, Architecture, Furniture and Gardens," on June 1, 8, 15, and 22 at 7 p.m. The sessions are free for members, and cost $5 each for non-members.
Arthritis meeting An arthritis support group, co-sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation and Long Beach Medical Center (LBMC), will meet June 21 at LBMC, 455 E.
