A Mad dinner and fashion show
The Long Beach High School seniors will take the runway at the high school auditorium and model the latest in prom fashions at 7 p.m. on March 5. The fashion show is held each year to benefit the high school PTSA Morning Madness program. Morning Madness is the alcohol and substance-free, all night after-prom party which is held for all LBHS seniors and their dates and is absolutely free. Food drive
Contribute to the food drive to benefit the Long Beach Soup Kitchen at the Evers Place Gallery, 949 West Beech Street, on March 6. A silent auction will be held with art being donated by local artists. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Surf City Pizza and Dunes Deli. ALL proceeds from the auction will go to the Long Beach Soup Kitchen.
Korean War vets wanted
The Joint Veterans Organization of Long Beach want to honor all Korean War veterans. The organization would like them to be marshals in the 2009 Long Beach Memorial Day Parade.
