Prom dress drive
A prom dress drive is being held to benefit high school girls in need. Acceptable donations include dresses (all sizes, good condition: formal, sweet sixteen, bridesmaid etc.), evening bags, dress shoes and unused makeup and jewelry. Spring luncheon and fashion show
The Rockville Centre Auxiliary invites the public to attend a Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show on April 21, noon, at the Pompei Restaurant in West Hempstead. Tickets are $35 and will include a charitable contribution to the (AHRC) Association to Help Children and Adults with developmental disabilities. Spring Recess Activities
All trip and activity participants must be registered members of the RVC Recreation Department: Resident membership is for fiscal year which runs from June 1, 2008- May 31, 2009. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment must accompany registration form.

Recess Gym and Game Room schedule:
The Recreation Center hosts "Open Gym and Game" for students in grades 4 and up during school recesses. Activities include Basketball, X-Box and Ping Pong under the supervision of Rec. Staff. AARP Tax Assistance Program. Volunteers from AARP are available every Friday until April 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. This service is for RVC residents 60+. Call (516) 678-9350 to make an appointment.
AARP Defensive Driving Course:
April 23 and 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (you must attend both nights). This class is open to Sandel members and RVC residents 60+. Sign-up in person at the Sandel Center with a check for $10 payable to AARP and a copy of your drivers' license. Space is limited. First come, first served.
Open House
May 1 from 10 a.m. - noon. The Sandel Center opens its doors to the community to showcase programs, events and services. Anyone who joins at the Open House will receive May's membership free with payment for the following year. Refreshments will be served.

Special Needs Masses at
St. Agnes Cathedral
Families with special needs children often find it difficult to attend weekly Mass together. These Masses give these families the opportunity to celebrate God's presence in their lives together. Children and adults with special needs will be filling as many liturgy positions as possible. All are invited to take part in this special liturgy. The Masses are at 5 p.m., in the Lower Hall (which is handicapped accessible) on: April 25 and May 30

Responding to the current economic climate in our country and community, the Rockville Centre Public Library announces its latest free service - career counseling. If you are looking for a job, hoping to change careers, or develop a new income stream, this individualized service is designed to help you on the road to success. The library's career counselor will teach the use of online databases for job searches, help prepare a resume and cover letter sure to be noticed, and give important advice for appointments and interviews. Career coaching services will be available on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 9 p.m. Interested individuals should contact the Adult Reference Desk either in person or by telephone at (516) 766.6257 ext. 5 to schedule an appointment. There is no fee for the service, and it is available to all library users. The Rockville Centre Public Library is located at 221 N. Village Avenue.
