Pugliese, author and associate professor of Modern European History and Italian Studies at Hofstra University, on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. You'll learn how the ghetto originated in Italy, what role the Jews played in the unification of Italy and how that role influenced their position vis-à-vis the church. $6 fee includes light refreshments.
