Nearly 700 job seekers attended Sen. Dean Skelos’s Career Fair at the Rockville Centre Recreation Center this past Friday, in what organizers described as a successful event.
“I was pleased to sponsor my third annual Career Fair that brought out almost 700 people from our community who are currently looking for work,” Skelos said. “As our economy slowly recovers, I believe it is critically important to help create opportunities for those seeking employment and this event accomplished just that.”
A Skelos’s spokesman said his office will be following up via email with all the folks who signed in to see how many interviews/connections were made.
