See some of the seals that make their winter home here, with a stroll along the bay at Jones Beach, alternating Saturdays and Sundays through Feb. 22. It's a fascinating look at the seals that visit our area each winter. The program starts with an overview of the local seal species at Jones Beach State Park's Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center. Then caravan to the fishing piers and take a walk along the bay where seals are frequently viewed.

Vic Vincent Group
Enjoy some of the fabulous sounds of the 50s and 60s, performed by the Vic Vincent Group. Hear Doo Wop, Rock and Roll as well as pop chart songs the tunes that everyone knows and loves. The group consists of Vic, who plays guitar and keyboard and does impressions of the original artists, Jimmy the K, who plays saxophone, trumpet, keyboard and guitar and does lead and background vocals, and Bill C, a former Rock & Roll show drummer, who does background vocals and has played it all.

Serenade
The acclaimed Serenade duo of Michelle LaPorte on flute and Gerry Saulter on guita open Islip Art Council's winter concer series. have performed extensively throughout the United State and Europe. This award-winning duo has a unique and unconventional repertoire, which includes original arrangements and commissioned pieces, which come exquisitely alive under the pair's mastery of their instruments. LaPorte has performed throughout the world in numerous solo concerts, chamber music recitals, musical theatre productions and with orchestras. She is currently Professor of Flute and Coordinator of Woodwind Studies at Five Towns College. Saulter is a renowned classical guitarist who has performed across the globe as a soloist and chamber musician. He is on faculty at Five Towns College, New York as Associate Professor of Guitar Studies and Director of Private Instruction.The ensemble has appeared many times to sold-out audiences at Merkin Concert Hall, and Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall.
