Guests of honor included Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2736 members, who presented the school with an American flag that had flown over the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Principal Louis Panzica welcomed the veterans and extended his gratitude for their visit. ³We are honored that you are here today to speak to our students, teachers and parents,² he said. ³As citizens, we want to thank you for the contributions, sacrifices that you have made throughout the years to make our country safe, and help preserve our freedom and the freedom of others.²
Panzica added that Flag Day is a time to honor the memory of those who sacrificed their all for symbol of the American flag.
