Patricia “Pat” Chernoff, a third generation Long Beach resident, died on May 30. She was 67. After she raised four children, Chernoff went to work full time in the optical industry, becoming one of the company’s most successful sales people. “All of her accounts considered her more of a friend than a business associate which was a tribute to the kind of person she was,” said Eddie Chernoff,
her son.
Chernoff also worked at her family cleaners in Lido Beach and Point Lookout, which served the community for many years before it closed recently. Chernoff was know as someone who made her family her top priority, and for her unselfish giving was an attribute that endeared her to all whose lives she touched over the course of her lifetime. |
Chernoff is survived by her husband Richard; children Edward, Christopher, Jill and Danielle; as well as seven grandchildren.
