Patriotic cars parade through Sea Cliff on the Fourth

With the coronavirus pandemic cancelling most July Fourth celebrations on the North Shore this summer, the Sea Cliff Civic Association wanted to make sure the village was still able to celebrate the nation’s independence.

Starting at noon, dozens of fantastically decorated cars drove from the United Methodist Church on Carpenter Avenue and snaked its way through Sea Cliff before ending in the village’s downtown. Along the way, they showcased countless red, white and blue paraphernalia, from flags and streamers to balloons and hats and everything in between.

Residents watched from their lawns and sidewalks, clapping and cheering as the cars drove past, signaling to them that, although they could not celebrate with parties and fireworks, July 4, 2020 would still be a day to remember.
