The Nassau County Homicide Squad is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed pedestrian on Dec. 3 at 9:07 p.m. in Lynbrook.
According to detectives, an unidentified male was crossing from the north to south side of Merrick Road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle in front of 130 Merrick Road. The vehicle, which was traveling eastbound, continued without stopping. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
