The Homicide Squad is investigating a fatal pedestrian struck vehicle accident that occurred on Dec. 3 at 9:07 p.m. in Lynbrook.
According to detectives, an unidentified male was crossing from the north to south side of Merrick Road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle in front of 130 Merrick Road. The vehicle, which was travelling eastbound, continued without stopping. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Arrests
A 26-year-old of East Rockaway, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart at the Green Acres Mall on Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.
On Dec. 1 at 6:31 p.m., a 30-year-old woman, of South Ozone Park, Queens, was arrested on Sunrise Highway and arrested for having an outstanding warrant from Nassau County Court for petit larceny.
A 23-year-old man, of Queens, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with no insurance, suspended registration, obstructed view and aggravated unlicensed operation on Merrick Road on Dec. 2 at 12:46 p.m. He was also charged with an outstanding warrant from Nassau County Court for a violation of probation.
On Dec. 2 at 7:27 p.m., a 20-year-old woman, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment stemming from an incident that occurred at the BP gas station on Sunrise Highway on Oct. 9.
A 32-year-old man, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Sunrise Highway on Dec. 5 at 12:35 a.m.
A 34-year-old man, of East Rockaway, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), in municipal parking field 12 on Dec. 6 at 11:20 p.m.
A 19-year-old man, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Union Avenue on Dec. 7 at 2:25 p.m.
Grand larceny
A black Sony Vaio Ar laptop computer was reported stolen from an employee’s desk at All Pro Medical Supplies at 444 Merrick Road on Nov. 30 at 1:45 p.m. The total loss was $1,199.95.
Identity theft/grand larceny
It was reported on Dec. 2 at 6:10 p.m. that from Nov. 15 through Dec. 1, the victim’s identity and personal information were used to open a credit card with Comenity Bank, which incurred several unauthorized charges. The total loss is $683.70.
Identity theft
At 3:50 p.m. on Dec. 3 it was reported that on Oct. 30, several unauthorized charges were on a Visa debit card. The total loss is $100.
