Lawrence resident Reva Oliner who defeated Joseph Fuller in the May election for the five-year term was installed as a new trustee on the Peninsula Public Library’s board on July 18.
Samuel Francis, the outgoing board president administered the oath of office. The newly organized board was also sworn in, and Jeffrey Leb is the new president, Audrian Gray is vice president, Sarah Yastrab is the secretary and Francis is the treasurer.
The library on Central Avenue in Lawrence serves 34,000 people and has 17,900 cardholders. It has the second highest circulation in Nassau County after East Meadow library.
Fuller, who lives in Cedarhurst, was honored for his 30 years of service by the trustees and local elected officials, at the June board meeting.
