One of two men who allegedly robbed and ransacked an Orthodox shul on Aug. 12, 2012, and stole a car from the parking lot of another synagogue was arrested on Feb. 18 in Far Rockaway, police said.

Daniel Weiss, 16, of Brunswick Avenue in Far Rockaway, was charged with two counts of burglary-third degree and grand larceny-third degree.

Allegedly, he and Avraham Moseson, also 16, of Barnard Avenue in Woodmere, entered Congregation Sharra Emuana at 539 Oakland Ave. in Cedarhurst on Aug. 12, by removing an air conditioner and climbing through the window. The pair was caught on security video ransacking the synagogue office. They took an unspecified amount of cash and fled.

Moseson was arrested in Inwood on Sept. 16. He was charged with burglary-third degree and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Two days prior to his arrest, Weiss allegedly entered Aish Kodesh Synagogue at 894 Woodmere Place in Woodmere by obtaining the lock combination, removed two sets of car keys and took a 2011 Honda from the shul’s parking lot. The car was recovered, police said.
