Long Beach Police arrested several men early Saturday morning during a large brawl outside of a West End bar, a police official said.

A Nassau County Police Department spokesman said that Long Beach Police responded to an incident on Jan. 22 at 4 a.m. at New Hampshire and West Beech streets.

“There was a disturbance and some Fourth Precinct units went in to assist,” the spokesman said. “A large crowd was dispersed and Long Beach had a couple of arrests.”

A Long Beach City Court spokesman confirmed that five or six men were arraigned today in connection with the incident, mostly on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. They were released on their own recognizance, the court spokesman said.

Several sources said the fight occurred in front of Minnesota’s, and that some of the men charged in the incident were injured during the altercation and during the arrest. A manager at Minnesota’s could not be reached for comment. A Long Beach police spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
