Peter's mainly celebrates Long Island life. "We have a full Long Island wine list," Ramunni says. "We do a lot of regional cooking. We have fresh seasonal fish prepared very simple, mostly local fish."
Along with seafood, they have steaks and pasta. "We have some Italian dishes," Ramunni explains. "We think of our food as American comfort food. We have good, well-trained cooks. One of them, he's been cooking around for 20 years."
They have several specials. There's the Early Bird and the Sunset specials. Lobster Festival is on Tuesday nights for $14.95. On Thursdays is the Clam Bake for $19.95. On Sundays, there is the buffet brunch for $14.95.
On Christmas Eve, Peter's will be offering traditional Christmas specials. Also, the restaurant will be visited by Christmas carolers that night.
On New Year's Eve, there are going to be two separate events going on in the clam bar and the restaurant. In the clam bar there will be a luau buffet. "We want to bring summer back in the middle of winter," Rammuni says about this happening. "There will be a tropical bar serving tropical drinks. There will also be calypso music." This goes for $50 per person.
Meanwhile, over in the restaurant, there will be a full-course dinner with live music, along with unlimited champagne. This event will be $60 per person, starting at 8:30 p.m. and ending only when the last person leaves.
Peter's Clam House is open daily.
