The health club has been expanding, and one of the major new additions to its programs has been physical therapy. "I've had lots of therapists that wanted to work here," explains Roberts. Finally, he found Uri Usher, a physical therapist who was licensed in Europe.
"From day one, Uri insisted that his approach was different from other physical therapists," Roberts says. "What distinguishes him from everyone else is the use of gentle and effective manual techniques such as counterstrain muscle energy and myofacial release....These techniques supplement conventional treatment, exercise and pain-controlling modalities."
Usher, who works along with his wife Gail, has had extensive experience in Europe and the U.S. He is confident that his treatment can handle any type of muscle-skeletal pain in the back or neck, and post-surgical and neurological disorders. Roberts claims that, "if your pain is stubborn, Uri definitely has the solution."
In addition to physical therapy, Club Central has also added more equipment such as cardiovascular and strength training. Also, the lockers have been refurbished. 'They're bigger and nicer," Roberts says. "And we've also added more exercise classes."
Club Central's business is booming, with people coming from other places. "We have a hotel environment, very clean," Roberts enthuses. "We are one of the best gyms in the Five Towns."
