Alan Nasar owns three stores that specialize in communication devices. Two of them are in the Five Towns and the third is in Brooklyn. "We have been serving the Five Towns area for seven-plus years," Nasar says proudly.
Worldwide's first Nassau location is the one in Lawrence, which was joined by its Woodmere sibling two months ago.
"Right now we have a deal where all you have to do is walk into one of the stores and you'll get a free hands-free earpiece, no purchase necessary," Nasar announces in acknowledgment of the new ban against hand-held cell-phone use while driving. "This is what you need in order to abide by the law of Nassau."
The lowest prices are guaranteed and Worldwide Beepers will not be undersold, Nasar proclaims. Besides the free hands-free earpiece, there are other deals he's offering. Right now you can get a Nokia phone for free and a calling package that includes 560 total minutes -- 60 anytime weekdays and 500 weekends -- voicemail, caller ID and more, all for just 99 cents a month, for six months.
Other cell-phone deals: AT&T wireless for $29.99 a month includes 400 minutes, free nights and weekends, free long distance, voicemail, caller ID and phone. A Nextel package of 400 total minutes with 2-way radio is $39.99 a month.
As for beepers, there is free one-year service on beeper reconnection. A Motorola Bravo FLX is $49.99; Diva Pro, $29.99, and a Motorola 2-way pager is $49.99.
Worldwide Beepers & Cellular Phones is known for courteous service, reliability, honesty and professionalism.
All three stores are open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, 10 to 7 Monday to Wednesday, 10 to 8 Thursday and 10 to 3 Friday. Closed Saturday.
