Hyam and Ezzy Karako have been selling clothes for 18 years, starting from the Lower East Side, spreading into Queens, and then, a year ago, coming to Lynbrook. But plans of expansion have not been rolled up and put away. "It's in the blood," Ezzy says enthusiastically. "We want to give the customer a good product for a low price, that's the main goal."
Suits Warehouse's main specialty is good suits for low prices. "For example," Ezzy says, "we sell tuxedos for only $69. No one can believe it, but it's true. When you rent a tuxedo, it costs about $110. Here, you can get it for $69 and you can put it in the closet for the next occasion."
In addition to having low prices all year, the Warehouse often runs sales on items. "We're very big in leather jackets, and from July to January we have specials on jackets for men, women and children."
Because of the low prices, major manufacturers often sell unsold suits to Suits Warehouse to get rid of them. "I can't mention who these manufacturers are, because they don't want to be advertised due to the low prices," Ezzy says, "but whenever they have extra suits, they sell them to us. If there is a shipping cancellation for a department store, we buy the suits. If they are sitting in a warehouse, we buy them."
Suits Warehouse also tries to provide a suit for every body type. They carry regular, short, long, portly and extra large suits, up to size 70. Shirts come in large sizes, too. "About 99.9 percent of the people are happy," Ezzy says. "We want to give people their money's worth; good suits for low prices."
Suits Warehouse Outlet is open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
