Peter Kalra's Wireless Hut, a recent arrival in Oceanside, is in the midst of its Grand Opening celebration.
The new store provides "wireless service. Beepers and telephones, things like that," Kalra said enthusiastically. And what you'll really like is, "All the prices have been reduced."
As the ad in PrimeTime says, there are Grand Opening specials unlike any others.
Kalra has a Voice Stream wireless phone and service package for $99, pre-paid and without contract. "It comes with a home charger, hands-free kit, call waiting, 250 minutes, caller ID and more," he said.
There are also deals where you buy minutes and get a free digital phone. For $29.99 a month, get 1,200 minutes of air time, and for $49.99 a month, talk for 1,500 minutes. Along with that, the first minute of an incoming call is free and you get free a home charger, caller ID and voice mail.
A Motorola L5550 pager is $89 for the first year. It includes free voice mail for life, 35 number memory, vibration and free activation.
The Magic Beeper, "which was just reduced from $69 to $59," Kalra said, has such features as time stamp, alarm, multiple rings and stopwatch.
The Wireless Hut is open every day from noon to 6 p.m. For information, call (516) 766-1600.
