Promoting literacy in Rockville Centre

Rockville Centre Cadette Girl Scout Troop 860 visited The Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre in early December as part of their Girl Scout Association’s Silver Award project called “Promoting Literacy.” The girls read books to the children in their after-school program and made crafts that related to the books. They also prepared and distributed coloring packets and bookmarks to the children. The books were donated to the center by the troop.
