For the third time in as many years, The Palace of Wong hosted members of the Sandel Senior Center for a complimentary holiday luncheon on Dec. 18. More than 60 people participated in the joyous gathering over a four-course meal. During the meal, South Side High School senior Justin Wong, son of the restaurant’s proprietor David Wong, regaled the diners with a cello performance. Mayor Fran Murray stopped by to greet the guests and wish everyone a happy new year.
David Wong and his family have been in business at the restaurant’s Sunrise Highway location for 44 years. He said he enjoys giving back to a community that he believes is a great city for doing business and raising a family.
