Robert 'Bob' Angel, a longtime Rockville Centre resident, passed away on Jan. 27

Longtime Rockville Centre resident Robert “Bob” Angel died on Jan. 27 at Long Island Jewish Hospital in Forest Hills, Queens. He was 75.

Son of the late Belle and Sidney Angel, Robert was born in Brooklyn on June 2, 1941. He grew up in Oceanside and eventually lived in Lynbrook and Rockville Centre.

Angel was a retired accountant and entrepreneur. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and sharing his warmth, hospitality and happiness with all those who knew him.

He is survived by his son Steven Angel and his wife Elizabeth Mandel; his son Jeffrey Angel and his wife Nicole Klett; his son Michael and his wife Erika; his son Richard and his wife Allison; his grandchildren Adam, Carter, Emily, Gertie, Jackson, Juliana, Lucas, Penelope, Matilda, Miles and Samantha; life partner, Susan Laitmon; "step" son Steven Laitmon and his wife Nathalie Hazan and their children Jadon, Aurelia and Apollo; and his friend and ex-wife, Jane Angel.
