US Marines thank fire department volunteers

Captain Galloway and Sergeant Ferris from the United States Marine Corps Reserve Infantry Battalion in Garden City came to the Rockville Centre Fire Department Council meeting to thank Chief Mark Murray and its members for their tremendous contribution to the Toys For Tots program.

The Rockville Centre Fire Department collected more than 35 bags of new toys for distribution not only to the needy in the community, but also to children of local Marines currently deployed overseas.

Help for Long Island's Hungry and Homeless

Just in time for the holidays, members of Rockville Centre’s Division 14 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians recently made a donation to the Mary Brennan INN Soup Kitchen in Hempstead. The Inn serves hungry and homeless Long Islanders with dignity, respect and love.
