Prom-a-palooza

This Saturday, March 20 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Sarabeth Cafe in Lord and Taylor’s Garden City store, South Side High School seniors will have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and a fashion show.

A $15 ticket includes a customized look from the Bobbi Brown make-up team; a 25 percent off coupon on regular priced dresses; a gift with purchase; an additional 15 percent off when opening a Lord and Taylor account and the chance to win a prom dress valued up to $300.

Community Events

On Broadway — A Musical Review!

The Island Park Theatre Group, in concert with The Island Park Schools and Recreation Department, will present "On Broadway — A Musical Revue!" featuring local talent of all ages from all communities. Performances will be March 19 and 20 at 8 p.m.; and a matinee on March 21 at 3 p.m. at the Lincoln Orens School Middle School, 150 Trafalgar Blvd., Island Park. Casting call

Kids Performing Who Kare auditions ages 6-19 for Disney's Jungle Book Kids and Sweeney Todd School Edition, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center 111 N. Oceanside Road. Prepare 16 bars and bring headshot and resume. Call (516)764-4173 for more info.

South Shore Symphony Concert

The South Shore Symphony, under the musical direction of Scott Jackson Wiley will perform at South Side Middle School, 67 Hillside Drive on March 20 at 8 p.m. The 65-member Symphony Orchestra will present Rossini ’s "Overture to William Tell," Richard Strauss ’s "Till Eulenspiegels Lustige Streiche" Op. 28 and Debussy’s "La Mer." The cost for admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and members of the Rockville Centre Guild for the Arts. Children under the age of 18 are free.
