Arrests

A resident of Uniondale was arrested on Oct. 4 at 10:45 p.m. and was issued an open warrant for patronizing a prostitute following a police investigation near Municipal Parking Field 19.

A resident of Rockville Centre was arrested on Oct. 5 at 9:48 p.m. and charged with petit larceny and possession of marijuana following a police investigation of a reported larceny that occurred at a Rutland Avenue residence.

A resident of Islip was arrested on Oct. 8 at 9:02 p.m. and charged with assault after a police investigation near 700 Sunrise Highway.

Larcenies

A resident of Merrick reported to police on Oct. 4 that someone stole a pocket book and personal property from her vehicle while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 1 between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

An employee from Morrissey GMC Truck on 510 Sunrise Highway reported to police on Oct. 4 that someone stole eight tires and rims from a pair of vehicles parked in the dealer parking lot between Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. and Oct. 4 at 7:30 a.m.

A Hempstead resident reported to police on Oct. 6 that the purse of a Lincoln Avenue resident was found near 340 Lincoln Ave. Police officers conducted an investigation resulting in the discovery of the same victim’s 2008 GMC parked in the driveway of 350 Lincoln Ave., after it had been entered into by someone who removed property from the car.

A Hempstead resident told police on Oct. 7 that someone stole a wallet from her purse sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m on Oct. 6. while she was in the emergency room of the Mercy Medical Center on North Village Avenue.

A director of the Rockville Centre Library told police on Oct. 7 that someone removed a wooden fence ornament sometime between Sept. 30 at 8 a.m. and Oct. 7 at 4 p.m.

A resident from Rockville Centre reported to police on Oct. 8 that someone stole his wife’s wallet and miscellaneous paperwork from their house between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. The residents believe that the perpetrators gained entry into the house by misleading a home health care worker.

Criminal mischief

On Oct. 4, a resident from Old Mill Court reported to police that someone damaged a panel to the screen door of her residence at around 6 p.m.

On Oct. 7, a director from the Sandel Senior Center on South Park Avenue told police that someone damaged a window in the lobby area of the building.

ID theft

A resident of Rockville Centre reported to police on Oct. 7 that someone made six unauthorized purchases totaling $907.46 on her Citibank MasterCard between Oct. 6 and Oct. 7.
