People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.
Arrests
A 21-year-old man from Oceanside was arrested on March 27 and charged with driving while impaired and unlawful possession of marijuana after an auto accident investigation at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Yorktown Street.
The next day, a 25-year-old Far Rockaway man was arrested for an open arrest warrant for a violation of the Family Court Act in Albany. Johnson was arrested after an investigation in the vicinity of Lakeside Drive.
A 47-year-old Rockville Centre man was arrested on March 29 and charged with attempted assault and menacing after an investigation at his residence.
A 25-year-old woman from Lynbrook was arrested on March 31 and charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal mischief and VTL violations after an investigation at Municipal Parking Field 3.
Burglary
A storeowner of Bigelow’s restaurant, located at 79 Oceanside Road, Rockville Centre, reported on March 26 that someone broke a rear bathroom window and attempted to gain access. There was no apparent entry gained or any loss at the time of the report.
Larcenies
A resident of Copiague reported on March 29 that someone stole her iPhone, valued at $600, from MBI Associates, located at 100 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.
A resident of Dogwood Lane, Rockville Centre reported on April 1 that someone stole assorted jewelry on at least two different occasions from a locked drawer and a locked safe located at her residence.
The same day, a resident of Maine Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole $200 from his apartment.
