People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

A 29-year-old man from Pine Street, Freeport was arrested on April 13 and charged with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon after an investigation at an Old Mill Court, Rockville Centre apartment.

A 28-year-old Holbrook man was arrested on April 15 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, appearance in public under the influence of narcotics and resisting arrest after a disturbance in the rear of 49 N. Village Ave.

Alcoholic Beverage Control violation

A 21-year-old woman from N. Bellmore was issued an appearance ticket on April 13 for the sale of alcohol to a person younger than 21, after an investigation at McFadden’s Bar, 210 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

Property damage

A resident of Northport, MA reported on April 9 that a tree fell on her 2012 Toyota while it was parked on Oxford Place, Rockville Centre.

The same day, a resident of Nottingham Road, Rockville Centre reported that the windshield to his 2002 Buick was somehow damaged while it was parked in his driveway.

A resident of Seaford reported on April 11 that the windshield to his 2009 Jeep was damaged by a rock thrown from a NC Public Works weed trimmer while it was in the vicinity of Peninsula Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue, Rockville Centre.

The following day, a resident of Clifton, NJ reported that someone damaged the rear passenger door and quarter panel of her 2012 Kia while it was parked at Mollloy College at 1000 Hempstead Ave., Rockville Centre.

ID theft

A resident of S. Park Avenue reported on April 9 that someone opened an AT&T account with his personal information without authorization, resulting in a bill of $114.43.

A resident of Windsor Avenue reported on April 11 that someone used her social security number at a job in North Carolina without authorization.

The following day, a resident of New York Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone filed a federal income tax return with her social security number without authorization.

Larcenies

An employee of Cohen’s Fashion Optical, at 560 Sunrise Highway, reported on April 9 that a man stole a Ralph Lauren eye glass frame valued at $250.

A resident of Arlington Avenue reported on April 11 that someone stole a FedEx parcel containing a Hewlett Packard printer, valued at $89.99, from in front of her residence.

A resident of N. Long Beach Road reported on April 14 that someone broke the passenger side window of her 2004 Mazda while it was parked in the building garage overnight and stole a GPS unit.

The following day, a resident of Lakeview reported his bicycle was stolen from the rear of the Fantasy Theatre, 18 N. Park Ave.

Graffiti

Police personnel identified graffiti on April 12 on a wooden deck located at Smith Pond, in the vicinity of Morgan Days South, Rockville Centre.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle

A resident of North Village Avenue reported on April 10 that she lent her 1993 Nissan to an acquaintance from Huntington who did not return it at the agreed upon time.
