People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

A 34-year-old Freeport man was arrested on Dec. 10 and charged with criminal mischief following a police investigation on Hempstead Avenue.

A 22-year-old Freeport man was arrested on Dec. 11 and charged with disorderly conduct after an investigation by police at Kasey’s Cocktails and Catering.

Larcenies

The manager of CVS on Sunrise Highway reported to police on Dec. 2 that two perpetrators stole approximately $400 worth of cosmetics between Nov. 22 and Dec. 1.

A Farmingdale resident reported to police on Dec. 3 that someone entered his car while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 16 and removed contents from his wallet, which had been left in the glove box. The victim said that $200 and credit/debit cards were stolen.

A visitor from Oceanside told police on Dec. 12 that someone damaged the side window of her 2010 Lexus and stole a cell phone while her car was parked in Municipal Parking Field 8.

A N. Forest Avenue resident reported to police personnel on Dec. 12 that someone stole $120 from a bedroom closet in her residence.

A N. Long Beach Road resident told police on Dec. 12 that someone stole a Sirius satellite radio from her unlocked 1999 Toyota which was parked in her driveway.

Criminal mischief

An Eton Road resident told police on Dec. 1 that someone scratched the name “Sheldon” on the trunk of her 1998 Honda Civic while it was parked overnight in her driveway.

A S. Centre Avenue resident reported to police on Dec. 3 that someone damaged the rear window of his 2000 Volkswagen while it was parked in his driveway.

Property damage

Rockville Centre police located a damaged plate glass window at a vacant store on S. Park Avenue on Dec. 5.

Unauthorized use

A resident of Windsor Avenue told police on Dec. 4 that her boyfriend took her 2009 Hyundai and drove it without permission. The car was later recovered at the Nassau County Police Department 5th Precinct.
