Arrests
A 17-year-old from Merrick Road was arrested on May 13 and charged with burglary after attempting to steal cash from the counter of Miceli’s Pizza on N. Park Avenue.
A 19-year-old from Merrick Road was arrested on May 14 and charged with false personation after giving police a false name and date of birth during an investigation at Miceli’s Pizza on N. Park Avenue.
A 23-year-old from East Rockaway was arrested on May 14 and charged with assault after he allegedly assaulted someone near 10 N. Village Avenue.
A 48-year-old from South Hempstead was arrested on May 14 and charged with driving while intoxicated-impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and vehicle traffic law violations on Peninsula Boulevard.
A 24-year-old from Lindenhurst was arrested on May 15 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on N. Village Avenue.
A 53-year-old of S. Centre Avenue was arrested on May 15 and charged with harassment and menacing after allegedly having a physical fight with his wife at their home.
A 23-year-old from Freeport was arrested on May 16 and charged with obstructing governmental administration at the scene of a domestic disturbance at the Best Western Hotel on Sunrise Highway.
Larcenies
A Lakeview Avenue resident told police on May 2 that someone entered his open garage and stole a leaf blower and a bicycle. The theft occurred between April 26 and April 30.
A Vanderveer Court resident reported to police on May 4 that an acquaintance stole her cell phone.
A Whitby Court resident told police on May 5 that someone stole a bicycle from the front of her house.
On May 7, nine residents reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicles and stole coins. The incidents occurred on Princeton Road, Dorchester Road, Whitby Court, Hempstead Avenue, Bradford Court and Morris Avenue.
An employee at Starbucks on N. Park Avenue told police on May 12 that someone stole her cell phone while it was on the service counter.
A Baldwin resident reported to police on May 13 that someone stole her pocketbook, cell phone and personal papers from her unlocked car while it was parked at the Taco Bell on Sunrise Highway.
