Arrests
Christopher J. Murphy, 20, of Holbrook was arrested on Dec. 30 and charged with disorderly conduct following a police investigation at With Cheese Please on N. Park Avenue.
Horace B. Campbell Jr., 30, of Merrick Road was arrested on Dec. 31 and charged with criminal mischief and harassment following a police investigation during which it was discovered that the perpetrator had damaged a bedroom door and pulled out hair from a victim.
Jose A. Palencia, 26, of Inwood was arrested on Jan. 1 and charged with criminal possession of stolen property after police discovered that he was in possession of a stolen New York State vehicle registration plate during a traffic stop on North Centre Avenue.
Robbery
A S. Village Avenue resident reported to police on Jan. 1 that she was robbed by someone while she was walking on the sidewalk near Sunrise Highway. The perpetrator reportedly ran from the scene with items that included the victim’s personal papers, keys and $30 cash.
Attempted burglary
An employee of Bargain Liquors reported to police on Dec. 28 that someone damaged a glass entrance door but didn’t get in. No items were reported missing from the store.
