Arrests
A resident of Freeport was arrested on March 10 and charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after a police investigation on Jefferson Avenue.
A resident of Valley Stream was arrested on March 12 and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and vehicle traffic law violations following a police investigation near Sunrise Highway and N. Centre Avenue.
Larcenies
A South Hempstead resident told police on March 12 that someone stole her pocketbook which contained cash, a cell phone and credit cards while she was at a bar on N. Village Avenue.
A resident from Florida told police on March 12 that someone stole his bicycle after it was left at the Public Storage facility on Merrick Road.
Forgery
An owner of Trinity Abstract on College Place reported to police on March 2 that someone forged and cashed three checks against his business checking account.
Criminal mischief
A N. Centre Avenue resident told police on March 2 that someone damaged both sides of her parked car.
A Valley Stream resident reported to police on March 9 that someone damaged the passenger side window of his 2009 Lexus and stole paperwork from the glove box while his car was parked on N. Village Avenue.
Village code violations
A Franklin Square resident received a village appearance ticket on Feb. 18 charging him with littering on Front Street.
A 28-year-old Rockville Centre resident received a village appearance ticket on Feb. 27 charging him with disturbing the peace on Merrick Road.
A resident of Valley Stream was issued a village appearance ticket on Feb. 27 charging him with consumption of an alcoholic beverage in public in Municipal Parking Field 7.
A resident of Island Park was issued a village appearance ticket on March 1 charging him with removal of curbside recyclables on Dorchester Road.
A Lakeview resident received a village appearance ticket on March 6 charging him with disturbing the peace near Maine Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard.
