A 13-year-old teenager reported to police on Feb. 15 that four male acquaintances attempted to rob him by threatening physical force while they were at Dunkin Donuts on N. Village Avenue on Feb. 11 at 8:30 p.m.
Reckless endangerment
On Feb. 21 at 12:24 a.m., police officers responded to N. Park Avenue and Front Street, where someone reportedly fired a shot from a silver revolver toward a group of men nearby. The alleged shooter, a man, ran east on Front Street. There were no reported injuries or victims at the scene when police arrived.
Larcenies
A resident of Rockaway Avenue reported to police on Feb. 14 that someone stole an Ariens snow blower valued at $1,200.
The owner of CD Island reported to police on Feb. 22 that someone stole a CD from the store and fled in a 2006 Kia.
A resident from Jamaica told police on Feb. 23 that someone damaged the passenger door window of her 2007 VW Jetta and stole a GPS while the car was parked at Molloy College.
A resident from East Hampton told police on Feb. 23 that someone damaged the passenger door window of her car and stole a GPS and iPod while the car was parked at Molloy College.
Unusual incidents
A resident of Jefferson Avenue told police on Feb. 14 that someone made unauthorized charges totaling $60 using his Emigrant Bank debit card.
A N. Forest Avenue resident reported to police on Feb. 21 that someone pretended to be a Cablevision employee in an attempt to gain entry into her apartment for a cable box issue that didn’t exist. Cablevision representatives said that no one was dispatched to the house. The unidentified person was seen leaving the residence in an unmarked
white van.
Identity theft
A resident of Hempstead reported to police on Feb. 15 that someone from Clinton Avenue opened a Cablevision account using his personal identification.
