People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

A 24-year-old man from Burtis Avenue, Rockville Centre was arrested June 21 and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana after an investigation in the vicinity of Long Beach Road.

The same day, a 23-year-old man who lives on Summit Avenue, in Baldwin was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after an investigation in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field 1.

A 31-year-old woman from Liberty Park Drive, Freeport was arrested on June 21 and charged with criminal contempt after an investigation by police at North Village Avenue.

Burglaries

The owner of Rave Cleaners at 15 North Park Ave. reported on June 19 that he saw someone exiting the basement of his business with an adjustable wrench that was taken without permission.

A resident of North Oceanside Road reported on June 24 that someone entered his home overnight after prying open a window and removed jewelry.

Larcenies

A resident of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre reported on June 18 that someone stole his Martin and Company guitar, valued at $1,500, from the side walk on Davison Place, Rockville Centre.

A resident of Woods Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on June 20 that someone stole her Coach handbag and contents from her 2005 Kia while it was parked in her driveway.

The manager of the CVS located at 598 Merrick Road reported on June 22 that someone stole allergy medication, valued at $660.78.

A resident of Lynn Place, Woodmere and a resident of 6th Street, East Meadow reported that someone stole $800 from them while in the vicinity of Meehan Lane and North Centre Avenue, Rockville Centre.

A resident of Hampshire Road, Rockville Centre reported on the same day that someone stole a 2012 Trek Hybrid bicycle valued at $300 and a 2012 Diamondback Hybrid bicycle valued at $400 from the front lawn of his residence.

he same day, a resident of Huntington Station reported that someone stole her Blackberry phone, valued at $150, while at the bar at Kasey’s Kitchen and Cocktails.

A resident of Bethpage reported that someone broke the front driver’s side window of his 2002 Honda and stole a credit card while the car was parked in Lot One at Mercy Medical Center.

Criminal mischief

Police responded to Lucille Roberts, at 298 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre for a reported disturbance involving two men fighting. The altercation resulted in a broken glass window at the gym.
