People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.
Arrests
A 46-year old man from S. Long Beach Road, Rockville Centre was arrested on May 23 and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and menacing after an investigation at Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.
The same day, a 28-year-old man from Miller Avenue, Freeport was arrested on an open arrest warrant from the City of Long Beach charging him with the consumption of alcohol in a public place on July 2, 2005.
A 2-year old man from Old Mill Court in Rockville Centre was arrested on May 24 and charged with criminal mischief that reportedly occurred on Meehan Lane.
The next day a 56-year-old man from Vermont Avenue, Oceanside was arrested for an open MTAPD warrant charging him with disorderly conduct on Sept. 3, 2010 in Lynbrook.
A 45-year-old woman who lives on Kirgan Court, East Rockaway was arrested on May 28 and charged with criminal contempt after an investigation at Morris Avenue and Sunrise Highway.
The following day, a 40-year-old man from Sycamore Avenue, Hempstead was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and VTL offenses after an investigation on N. Village Avenue, Rockville Centre.
Burglary (attempt)
A manager from the Long Island Blood Bank, located at 250 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre, reported on May 28 that someone damaged a door frame and door lock, though no entry was gained.
Larcenies
A resident of Tarence Street, Rockville Centre reported on May 21 that someone stole his wallet and NYC Fire Department identification from his 2010 Honda while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 8.
A resident of Adams Court, Rockville Centre reported on May 22 that someone stole a Federal Express clothing delivery, valued at $500, from his front porch.
A resident of St. Albans reported on May 24 that someone stole property, including a pocketbook, keys, credit cards and $20 from her office at Mercy Medical Center
The same day, a manager from the CVS Pharmacy located at 598 Merrick Road reported that two males were observed on surveillance video removing 21 Gillette Fusion razors, valued at $739.97, and two Rogaine hair products, valued at $81.98, without permission.
Also on May 24, a resident of N. Village Avenue reported that someone stole a gold necklace, valued at $5,000, from her bedroom.
A resident of Stratford Road, South Hempstead reported on May 27 that someone damaged the front passenger window of her 2008 VW and stole an iPod, valued at $200, while the vehicle was parked on Ormond Street, Rockville Centre.
The next day, a resident of Bulson Road, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole jewelry, valued at more than $7,000, from his bedroom.
A resident of Franklin Avenue, Malverne reported on May 28 that someone stole tires and rims, valued at $3,000, from a storage unit at Public Storage, located at 484 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.
A resident of Manhattan Street, Roosevelt reported on May 29 that someone attempted to steal property from the trunk of her 1996 Honda while it was parked at Mercy Medical Center.
A resident of N. Centre Avenue reported on May 30 that someone stole $1,620 from a safe in his office.
Unusual incidents
A resident of Sherman Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on May 22 that someone made an online purchase, valued at $438.23 from Walmart, which was delivered to Tacoma, Washington without authorization.
A resident of Woods Avenue, Oceanside reported the next day that he found a suspicious, handwritten note taped to the ATM machine at Astoria Federal Bank, located at 339 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.
Criminal mischief
Police personnel located a damaged store front window at Star Nail and Spa on May 27.
Property damage
A resident of Derby Road, Rockville Centre reported that someone damaged the passenger side window of his 2001 Volvo while it was parked on Wilson Lane and N. Village Avenue.
A resident of Salisbury Avenue, Stewart Manor reported on May 22 that someone damaged her 2010 Nissan while it was parked on S. Forest Avenue.
A resident of Greystone Road, Rockville Centre reported on May 26 that her 1999 Honda was damaged when a can of Silly String exploded inside the car.
A resident of S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on May 28 that his 2012 Lexus was damaged.
The next day, a resident of Intervale, Rockville Centre reported that her 2991 Hyundai was damaged while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 5.
A resident of William Street, Rockville Centre reported on May 30 that a tree fell at the curb line and damaged power lines at the location.
Fire
Police and RVCFD responded to a reported kitchen ceiling fire in a Hamilton Road home on May 27, extinguishing the blaze.
Found property
A blue Giant Farrago mountain bicycle and a red Schwinn 24 Speedster bicycle were found at the northeast corner of DeMott Avenue and Overlook Lane, Rockville Centre.
