A 19-year-old East Rockaway man was arrested on Sept. 15 at 9:54 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance following a police investigation near Lincoln Avenue and Lincoln Court.
A 22-year-old Floral Park man was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on Sept. 17 and charged with petit larceny following a police investigation at a home on Brower Avenue; Four open Nassau County warrants were also found for him.
A 45-year-old Lynbrook resident was arrested on Sept. 18 at 3:53 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated following a car accident at Sunrise Highway and Yorktown Street.
Larcenies
On Sept. 15, a Morris Avenue resident reported to police that someone stole a GPS and IPod from his unlocked 2010 Toyota while it was parked in the driveway of his house between Sept. 13 at 10 p.m. and Sept. 14 at 7 a.m.
A resident from Maine Avenue reported to police on Sept. 15 that someone contacted her and falsely told her that she had won the lottery. As a result, she sent approximately $60,000 via Western Union for supposed taxes on her winnings to multiple places between June 21 and Sept. 15, including Jamaica, Barbados and New Jersey.
On Sept. 17 at 3:03 p.m., a Dartmouth Street resident told police that someone stole a bicycle from the detached garage outside his residence between Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 16 at 8:45 a.m.
On Sept. 17, a village resident from Terrace Avenue, Hempstead reported to police that someone stole her wallet from a locker at Mercy Medical Center the previous day, Sept. 16, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
A Hawke Lane resident told police on Sept. 17 that someone stole her daughter’s bicycle while it was locked on the Hewitt Elementary School fence between Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. and Sept. 17 at 2:30 p.m.
Graffiti
On Sept. 17, police discovered graffiti on a fence and garage located in Municipal Parking Field 23.
Unusual incident
A resident from S. Park Avenue reported to police on Sept. 17 that someone opened three credit card accounts in her name without authorization.
Property damage
On Sept. 15, a visitor from Riverside, Conn. told police that someone damaged the rear window and passenger side front window of his 2004 Lincoln while it was parked in front of 22 N. Forest Ave. between Sept. 14 at 10:30 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.
A resident from Hawkins Avenue, Baldwin reported to police on Sept. 17 that her 2007 Toyota was damaged while parked in front of 82 N. Village Ave. between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
An Atkinson Road resident told police on Sept. 17 that her 1999 Nissan was damaged while parked on Driscoll Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
On Sept. 19, a resident from Carson Lane, Medford reported to police that someone damaged her 2007 Toyota while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 1 between 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

On Sept. 15, a retired member of the NYPD reported to police that he lost his retired captain PD identification card in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field 3.
