Architectural Photography by Ellen Fisch

Employing light and shadow, form and space, Fisch is dedicated to photographing the details of architecture that grace buildings in cities throughout the U. S. and Europe. Fisch said, “All of my life I have been passionate about the magnificent stone, metal, and wood ornamentation on building facades which represent the immense time and care that was taken when an artisan was crafting a work.” With the same time and care, she creates impressionistic realism in her photographs that reflect elegance and fluidity, strength and subtlety that characterize architecture.

Fisch began her career as an artist at the age of 16. She has exhibited her art throughout the world, and works by her may be found in numerous private and corporate collections including the Vatican, Queen Elizabeth, the Museum of Financial History, Saco Museum, Delta Airlines, Tishman Speyer, Morgan Stanley, the City University of New York and others.

Equally adept at painting in watercolors, oils, and pastels, Fisch uses them to express the landscapes of her world — scenic or satiric. She is represented by Jadite Galleries in New York City.
