The Story and Significance of St. Brigid at Molloy College
On March 15 at 3 p.m., in the Multipurpose Room of the Public Square, Author Patricia Monaghan will tell the story that starts nearly 20 years ago when the Sisters of St. Brigid returned to Kildare, Ireland, where their order had been founded some thousand years before. Monaghan, professor of interdisciplinary studies at DePaul University in Chicago, has written about the Brigid revival in her book "The Red-Haired Girl from the Bog: The Landscape of Celtic Myth and Spirit." She is the author as well of more than 20 other books of nonfiction and poetry, including "The Encyclopedia of Celtic Myth and Folklore."
