Rockville Centre Mayor Mary Bossart elected president of Nassau County Village Officials Association

Nassau County District Court Judge Anthony Paradiso, a resident of Rockville Centre, administered the oath of office to new Nassau County Village Officials Association President Mary Bossart on April 12.

Following her installation as president of the Nassau County Village Officials Association, Mary Bossart was joined by, from left, Judge Anthony Paradiso; First Vice President Peter I. Cavallaro, mayor of the Village of Westbury; Second Vice President Ralph Kreitzman, a Rockville Centre native who is now mayor of the Village of Great Neck; Immediate Past President Marvin Natiss, mayor of the Village of North Hills and Treasurer David Tanner, mayor of the Village of East Williston.
Rockville Centre Mayor Mary Bossart was installed as the 2011-12 president of the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) at its annual meeting on April 12. As president, Bossart will be responsible for establishing the policies of NCVOA, which represents 64 incorporated villages with more than 430,000 residents, and for directing the organization’s efforts on behalf of village residents throughout Nassau County.
“I am honored to be selected by my peers for this important role,” said Bossart, who previously served as the organization’s first vice president. “Village government is the government closest to the people — the most efficient and effective vehicle for delivering services to residents. The NCVOA has played an integral role in advocating for village residents and helping them maintain local control over their communities. I look forward to working with all village officials in ensuring we continue to be a strong voice for our residents in Nassau County and the State of New York.”
