Rockville Centre native Christopher D. Connors offers direction on living a more fulfilling and rewarding life in today’s fast-paced, instant-gratification world in his recently-published Amazon bestselling book, “The Value of You: The Guide to Living Boldly and Joyfully Through the Power of Core Values.”
A 1999 South Side High School graduate and holder of degrees from Hobart College and the University of Georgia, Connors writes that core values such as integrity, humility, love, faith, altruism and others are the answer. He writes that embracing core values can inspire us, engender greater purpose in life, and provide a rock-solid foundation for personal discovery.
The book, available on Amazon.com in both paperback and Kindle formats, devotes a chapter to each core value and features inspirational stories of celebrities, such as Connors’ South Side classmate and friend Amy Schumer, as well as J.K. Rowling, Michael Jordan, Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger — who landed U.S. Airways Flight 1549 safely in the Hudson River — and others. Local barber and town icon Jose Dominguez also makes an appearance.
Connors currently lives in Charleston, S.C. with his wife, Tosha, and son, Roman, and is a senior manager at a benefits technology company.
