The Rockville Centre Board of Education will hold its public work session on Thursday, April 2, as planned, and will livestream the meeting for public viewing. The time of the meeting has been changed to 4:15 p.m.

According to a meeting notice sent out by district clerk Jackie Wong, the meeting will not be held in any of the school buildings due to the social distancing recommendations and per Governor Cuomo’s executive order regarding the conduct of public meetings. No members of the public will be allowed to attend, however, questions can be sent to Wong via email at boe@rvcschools.org. They will be read and answered during the “opportunity for visitors” portion of the meeting.

Agenda items include the district’s response to concerns regarding coronavirus and an update on the annual board of trustee election and budget.

The meeting will be streamed through Optimum 19, Fios 36 and on YouTube. For those unable to view the meeting live, a recording will be posted on the district’s website afterward. Visit rvcshools.org.
