Rockville Centre student receives letter from the president

Posted
Lizzie Hefner, a sixth grade student at South Side Middle School wrote a letter to President Barack Obama last winter telling him her feelings about school and bullying. Imagine her excitement last week when a big envelope arrived at her house. It was from the White House. Inside was a letter from President Obama, an autographed picture of him, a picture of the White House, and a picture of Bo, the First Dog of the United States. Lizzie said she was very proud to receive these things from the president, and shared them with her family, teachers and friends. The president’s letter said that he was concerned about bullying too, and was working to find solutions to the problem.
