An 18-year-old Rockville Centre man was arrested in connection with an Oceanside burglary that police said occurred a half hour into the new year.
According to Nassau County detectives, David Perez, of 34 Vincent St. was arrested on Jan. 1 after they say he gleaned information that the occupants of the Oceanside residence would be leaving their home to attend a New Years Eve party. Armed with that information, Perez allegedly entered their home and stole electronics. After an investigation by detectives, Perez was arrested later in the day and the property he is alleged to have stolen — a laptop computer and an Xbox 360 — was recovered from him.
