Mayor Mary Bossart presented a proclamation to Dorothy Kromer, a resident of Maple Pointe Assisted Living, acknowledging her 101st birthday on Oct. 27.
Mrs. Kromer, formerly of Queens, has been a resident of Maple Pointe for the past two years. She was surrounded by many friends, her granddaughter and great granddaughter during a party that featured a cake and live music.
Marriage and family were, and still are, the most important things to Mrs. Kromer, who has three children, nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, she was married for 69 years to her husband, George, who died in 2003.
