Rockville Centre's littlest students enjoy ‘hands on learning’

This year the Rockville Centre Recreation Center Pre K and Pre Pre K classes enhanced their nursery school experience with “hands on learning,” visiting several local businesses and cultural centers. They enjoyed a tour of the RVC Police Department hosted by Det. Mike Norwood and learned about fire safety at the RVC Fire Department with Jim Prinzevalli Sr. and Brandon Sino. They enjoyed making delicious treats at the Five Pennies Ice Cream Factory. The staff at Old Westbury Gardens opened their eyes to the wonders of nature and and they played with the animals at Green Meadows Farm. A trip to the Rockville Centre Public Library rounded out the school year.
