“Royal Pains” films episode in Long Beach

On June 27, film crews for the popular TV show “Royal Pains” set up camp on the beach at Pennsylvania Avenue in Long Beach to shoot the show’s eighth episode of the 2011 season.

Actor Mark Feuerstein, who plays lead character, Dr. Hank Lawson, could be seen running along the beach as cameras rolled. The episode, entitled “Run, Hank, Run” shows Feuerstein falling on the sand and then chatting with the beautiful woman who helps him to his feet.

The USA Network series is one of the most popular on cable TV, and highlights the life of the hot “concierge doctor” who practices medicine in the Hamptons.

Over the past few weeks, the production has been filming around Long Island, and while in Long Beach, Feuerstein was happy to oblige autograph seekers. The episode filmed on our beach is scheduled to run in mid to late August.
