Pallas, who is also president of the New York Association of Public Power which represents municipal and consumer-owned utilities throughout the state, is filling the unexpired term of the former president of the New York Power Authority who resigned recently.
"We are very proud of Paul Pallas' service in the Village of Rockville Centre, in the state of New York, and now in the nation," Mayor Mary W. Bossart said.
The APPA is a non-profit service organization representing the interests of consumers served by more than 2,000 community-owned electric utilities in the United States.
