Santa rode through the community atop a Bellmore fire engine, starting at the firehouse on Pettit Avenue, then landing at the Stop 'N Shop in North Bellmore, the Bellmore Shopping Plaza on Merrick Road and finally returning to the firehouse.
Chamber members and leaders acted as Santa's helpers, handing out toys and candies to the numerous children who came out to see Santa at his various stops and let Old Saint Nick know exactly what they wanted for Christmas.
At the end of the Annual Santa Run, the Bellmore Movie House offered a free showing of "Hey, Arnold" to any and all children.
