The Merrick Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event, at which free candy canes and goodie bags, offering coupons, give-always and services from local merchants, will be distributed to attendees. Children can also drop a line to Santa in the red mail box at the rear entrance to the Flower Shoppe.
On hand will also be a Merrick fire truck for children to see and touch. And choirs will provide Christmas music and cheer.
Residents may also contribute non-perishable foods for the Merrick Kiwanis Club's annual food drive. The Merrick Flower Shoppe is located at 54 Merrick Avenue.
