Students in Mrs. Weisman’s class in School 8 in Oceanside organized a project this year to collect and recycle soda tabs.
The tabs went to the Ronald McDonald House, and the bottles and cans were recycled for money, which the students donated to the Oceanside VFW. The students donated $1,000 — the equivalent of about 20,000 bottles and cans.
