The Rosa Lee Young Childhood Center sued the village months ago because its laws do not allow not-for-profit private schools to develop in residential areas. Administrators for the Center believe these laws do not comply with state case law concerning school placement.
Village Attorney Martha Krisel agrees and has been urging the board to change the laws for years.
The Center had given the village time to change the law but say they will go forward with the suit given the delay in the legislation.
